What is UnifiedPay?

UnifiedPay is Unified Practice's fully integrated payment processing solution. It allows you to accept and manage payments directly through your Unified Practice account, helping keep patient information and transaction activity connected in one system.

With UnifiedPay, you can collect payments, securely save payment methods, send payment invoices, access reporting, and manage your payment processing without relying on a separate payment platform.

Collect Payments

  • Accept credit and debit card payments directly from patient appointments and patient records. Payments can be associated with services and products sold, helping simplify payment collection and reporting.

  • Supported payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards that are branded with one of those networks.

  • Payment methods can be manually entered and securely saved for future transactions, helping make future checkouts faster and more convenient for both staff and patients. If you'd like to accept chip, tap, or swipe payments, optional wireless terminal devices are available for purchase or lease.

 Payment Invoices

  • Send secure payment invoices by email or text message, allowing patients to conveniently pay outstanding balances from their own device.

 Protect Your Schedule

  • UnifiedPay's Card Capture for Policy Enforcement feature allows you to optionally require patients to enter a payment method when booking appointments online. This feature allows you to enforce, partially enforce, or waive cancellation and no-show fees based on your clinic's policies.

  •  The feature can be customized by service, allowing you to choose which appointment types require a payment method, define your cancellation window, and configure different fee amounts for cancellations or no-shows.

 Reporting and Funding Details

  • Access transaction activity, deposits, processing fees, funding details, and statements from one centralized location.

 Secure Payment Processing

  • UnifiedPay uses encryption and tokenization to help protect sensitive payment information and supports PCI compliance requirements.

 Support and Training

  • Receive support from the Unified Practice team for payment-related questions, account management, onboarding, and training. If you use an integrated terminal device, you'll also have access to 24/7 technical support for device-related assistance.
