      Processing and Fees

      Can UnifiedPay Match or Beat My Current Rates?

      Currently using another processor? Email us at payments@unifiedpractice.com with 3 of your most recent processing statements and we’ll evaluate if we can meet or beat your current rates!

       

      Processing/Transaction-Related Fees (Billed Daily)

      UnifiedPay processes fees daily using net billing, meaning your transaction fees are deducted from deposits before they are funded to your bank account.

      • Card-Present Transactions (Swiped): 2.70% + $0.05 per transaction
      • Card-Not-Present Transactions (Key-Entered, Card on File): 2.90% + $0.30 per transaction

      Monthly Fees

      The following fees are billed monthly and appear as a separate line item on your statement:

      • Card Brand/Network Fees:
        • Typically range from 0.20%–0.30% of your monthly processing volume (e.g., $0.20–$0.30 per $100 processed).
      • PCI Management Fee: $9.95/month
        Helps maintain compliance with payment industry standards and ensures secure processing for you and your patients.

       

      Conditional Fees

      These fees are applied only when applicable:

      • PCI Non-Compliance Fee: $29.95/month if the SAQ is not completed.
      • Inactivity Fee: $49.95/month if less than $50 is processed in 180 days.
      • Chargeback Fee: $25 per chargeback, regardless of dispute outcome.
      • ACH Return Fee: $25 if Fullsteam is unable to deduct funds (e.g., insufficient funds).

      Optional Monthly Fees

      Funding-Related Fees

      UnifiedPay offers optional services for more flexibility:

      • Accelerated Funding: $20/month
        Deposits fund within 24–48 business hours instead of the standard 48–72 business hours.
      • Monthly Billing Service: 0.05% of your total monthly processing volume
        Allows transaction fees to be deducted monthly instead of daily.

      What Are the Swiper Fees?

      A card reader (swiper) adds convenience but is optional for UnifiedPay users. Once you process a payment using the swiper or manually enter card details, you can securely save the patient's card on file for future transactions, making future checkouts faster and easier.

      • Device Name: SREDKEY2
      • Overview: A magnetic-stripe card swiper that connects via USB to your computer for secure payments through the browser version of Unified Practice EHR.

       

      Swiper Options:

      • Purchase: $223 per device + $33 shipping/$7 handling + sales tax (based on zip code).
      • Lease: $8.99/month (12-month commitment) + $33 shipping/$7 handling + sales tax.
