How to Print a Patient Chart

This article will show you how to print, share or download SOAP notes from the iPad app or from the Web platform

From the Web platform:

  1. Go to Patient List > My Patients, and select a patient.
  2. Under the appointments tab, you'll see all of the selected patient's appointments and a link to view the charts associated with those appointments.
  3. Click the View Intake button under the Appointments Tab for the date of service you would like to print
  4. Click the Print button in the top right corner of the screen. This button allows to you either print the SOAP note, or save it as a PDF.

You can only print or download charts that have been closed and signed. If a chart that you want to print is still open, click the Continue Intake button. On the top right corner of the screen, you'll see the Close and Sign button.

Once the chart is closed, a print button will become available. 

 


From the iPad:

1. Find the chart you'd like to print via the Patient List

2. Click View Intake select the menu icon (3 dots) from the top right.

3. Click Print for a hard paper copy

4. OR, long click (hold your finger down) on the image of the chart in the Printer option screen until highlighted.  Then touch the highlighted image.  This will allow you to send the file via other applications or save it to the Files section of your iPad.  


To download or print multiple charts at once:

You may only download or print one SOAP note/Intake at a time from your Unified Practice account.  However, our technical team can prepare an export with multiple dates of service and send it to you via a secure link .  This is best done for 10+ dates of service. Please note that all charts must be closed and signed before we can prepare your export. 

This request takes 24-48 business hours to fulfill.  To request this be done for you, please email us at support@unifiedpractice.com with the Patient ID (found in the top right corner of the Patient File and the dates of service you will to include in the export (or "All").  


Share Patient Chart via Chat:

  1. After signing the chart, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner and select Share via Chat.

  2. The Patient Chart will download, a Chat with the Patient will be opened and the Patient Chart will be sent automatically.

Important Note:
If the current Patient does not have an existing Patient Portal account, a prompt to invite the Patient will be displayed.

  • Click Send Invite to notify the patient to create their Patient Portal account.
