How to Set Up Group / Community Acupuncture
This article will describe how to set up group acupuncture (also known as community acupuncture)
If you'd like to learn how to set up Group / Community Acupuncture within Unified Practice, follow these steps below:
Step 1: Add Your Rooms
Although your patients will be in one physical space, you'll want to add a Room for each chair/table for those patients. If you generally see 4 patients per hour for example, you'll want to add 4 rooms. You can name each room "Table 1, Table 2, etc."
Make sure to deselect any existing services:
Step 2: Add your Community Acupuncture service
- Go to Clinic Settings > Clinic Services, and click on Add Service.
- Select your rooms. In this example, the service is assigned to Table 1 - Table 4.
- Set your staging. Your staging settings should be based on your current workflow. For example, if you tend to set up your patients every 15 minutes into a chair/table for a one hour acupuncture service, your staging can be reflected as follows:
As seen above, the patient, practitioner, and room are occupied for the first 15 minutes, allowing you to get the patient settled in before the next patient arrives. This will allow you to see 4 patients per hour for this service.
Note: If you would like to see 6 patients per hour, you can adjust the first stage for patient, practitioner, and room to 10 minutes.
